Bachata Sensual Musicality & Partnering Techniques

First of a monthly series of various workshops from Liliana Jimenez, we kick off with a Bachata Sensual Musicality class that focuses on the understanding of the specific cues, structure, and instruments used in this specific dance. We will also talk & implement the roles of each dancer (leader and follower) in a partnering combination. 

The class will begin with a discussion of how the structure of Bachata Sensual Music is similar and different to Traditonal Bachata Musicality. I will try to be as concise as possible, but the discussion is key to help understand the partner lesson. Please be prepared to sit a little bit and have a notebook to take notes if you like!

Knowing these tools, we will then jump right into a partnering combination where we will put to test the musicality concepts in the dance itself! The goal is to have Leaders explore the musicality interpretations while the Followers will learn to understand the cues and focus on interpreting what the Leader is delivering, rather than trying to predict!

From 8:30-9:00 PM we will then host a mini social dance practice.
